Foundations of Instruction

This 3 day workshop provides participants with the opportunity to hone or enhance their skills. Facilitated by Mike Billingham, an experienced adult curriculum developer and leader in paramedic education, it provides a solid framework of best practices that can be used both by those entering the adult education profession as well as experienced individuals looking to enhance existing skills.

The course is designed to focus on best practices in teaching and learning, regardless of industry. It is also the foundational Instructor Training program for all Columbia Learning Group first aid and paramedic courses (ranging from emergency first aid, to FR and EMR courses, as well as PCP instruction).  Instructors who wish to teach with Columbia Learning Group or any of its affiliates can complete this workshop and then undertake an online module specific to the program(s) they will be teaching.
