Responder & Paramedic Courses
First Responder
Course Details
This course introduces students to the basics of pre-hospital care and CPR skills and is intended for professional first responders or those wanting to become first responders.
Course material includes techniques for sustaining life, preventing further injuries, and caring for illnesses and injuries until the next level of medical personnel arrive. Includes CPR level BLS and AED certification.
All of our FR courses are taught by instructors currently working as firefighters and/or paramedics throughout British Columbia, ensuring they are up to date on current practices in the field and able to bring that knowledge to the classroom. Courses include full EMALB Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 endorsements with no need to take additional “Scope Update” training. Not sure what this means? Check out our FAQs.
Successful completion of this course is the first step toward licensing with the B.C. Emergency Medical Licensing Board for the First Responder level, and can be used to help gain employment with fire departments and other emergency services throughout British Columbia.
